Spic and Span Scented Wipes - Product review

Spic and Span dry wipes

My most recent dollar store find is these cleaning wipes. The package mine came in looked more like a very small roll of paper towels. They claim to be scented and reusable.

(Mine look more like this roll, but it was yellow)

I picked them up because they were lemon scented. I love anything lemon scented. I couldn’t wait to get them home and test them out on my filthy counters that had been neglected for a couple of days.

I opened the package anticipating the scent of lemon, and I got nothing. I put the cloths up to my nose and took a wiff, and still nothing. My Spic and Span wipes didn’t smell like anything. Strike 1.

Next I unrolled one of the sheets and peeled it off from the rest. They look really thin and fibrous, like dryer sheets. I already had my doubts. I got the sheet wet and started scrubbing my counters. They are not very scrubby (Strike 2) but they do last much longer than paper towels. I rung that thing out like 30 times.

My final thought on this product is they do seem like a nice investment. They could come in handy when you are wiping down the counters; instead of using 4-5 sheets of paper towel. I don’t think I will be using these very often though. They don’t leave a scent behind as I had hoped, and they are not antibacterial. They seem to just smear water around rather than absorb it, so I don’t think they are sanitary. I don’t think I will buy these again at least not anytime soon.
